DENTAL BRACES IN NOIDA

Dental Braces in Noida

Dental Braces in Noida – Dental braces are fixed appliances that are used to align or straighten the teeth and guide the teeth to the corrected position. They are made up of wires, brackets, and bands. Braces aid to correct irregular teeth positioning, jaw correction, improvement in chewing and smile aesthetics.

There are different types of braces:
1) Metal
2) Ceramic
3) Lingual

1) Traditional metal braces – Dental Braces in Noida

Cost – ₹ 50,000
Dental Braces in Noida – Traditional braces, made from high-grade stainless steel, are the most common type of braces. They have progressed to become lighter and more comfortable than ever before. Metal brackets are attached to the teeth using orthodontic cement and are linked together by an archwire. Tiny elastic ties are used to keep the archwire in place and can be silver or colorful. As our patient, you have the option of customizing your traditional braces by adding colored elastic ties.

Pros

Price: Traditional braces are the most affordable out of all of the options.

Cons

Aesthetics: metal mouth appearance. Traditional braces are obvious when smiling and can cause self-confidence problems in some.
Discomfort: Some patients report feeling discomfort when wearing traditional braces. Occasionally, brackets and wires can break or become too long, poking the patient’s gums or cheek tissue.

2) Clear or ceramic braces:
Cost – ₹ 70,000
Ceramic braces function in the same way as traditional metal braces except they are clear, making them less visible. These braces are great for adults or older teenagers who have cosmetic concerns regarding braces. However, they require a higher level of oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and more fragile than traditional metal braces.

Pros

Appearance: Ceramic braces are much less noticeable than traditional braces.

Cons

Staining: If not cared for properly, ceramic braces can become stained.
Discomfort: Some patients report feeling discomfort when wearing ceramic braces. Occasionally, brackets can break or become too long, poking the patient’s gums or cheek tissue.

3) Lingual braces:
Cost – ₹ 1 Lakh
Lingual braces are placed behind the teeth rather than in front, making them invisible to others when you smile. This makes them a great option for patients with cosmetic concerns regarding braces. The entire metal appliance and brackets are customized to match the shape of your teeth exactly. These braces are a great option for athletes, models, actors/actresses, musicians who play wind instruments, and adult professionals.

Pros

Appearance: Lingual braces are invisible when smiling as they are hidden behind the teeth.

Cons

Discomfort: Some patients report feeling discomfort when wearing lingual braces because of their position. Lingual braces have more contact with the soft tissues of the mouth and in direct contact with the tongue.
Finally, they tend to be more difficult to clean.

  • TREATMENT PROCEDURE
  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • TESTIMONIAL

1) The consult –
Our team of specialists will evaluate your teeth and make a treatment recommendation. First, you’ll get x-rays of your whole mouth and of individual teeth. Photographs of your face, teeth, and mouth may also be taken. If the spacing is too tight between any of your teeth, spacers may be inserted to help prepare your mouth for braces.

2) Before treatment –
If you need treatment for other oral care conditions (e.g. scaling, fillings, or tooth extraction), we may recommend taking care of these issues before braces.

3) Your first visit –
Whether you get traditional braces or customized behind-the-teeth braces, the next step is to make an accurate mold. To do that, we will take an impression of your teeth. Either you’ll bite down on a tray of soft impression material for a few minutes, or take a digital scan of your mouth.

Getting your braces bonded: The procedure itself is painless for most people. Your bonding appointment may last for about an hour.
A) Our braces specialist will start by inserting a device to keep your mouth dry and your tongue in place.
B) Next we will dry your teeth and apply an etchant to make the tooth surface ideal for bonding.
C) Next, the braces will be placed on your teeth using a special adhesive to hold them in place throughout your treatment.
D) A curing light will harden the adhesive and set the bond.
E) Finally, the orthodontist will run the archwire through the braces and hold it in place with ligature bands.

4) Your follow –
Up appointments Once your braces are on, you’ll have about 4-8 weeks to get used to them before your first follow-up appointment. These routine “adjustments” go much faster than getting your braces in the first place. Our orthodontist will check your progress and swap out the old bands, and possibly the old archwire, for a new set. This is the perfect time to change up your colors if you want! Adjustment appointments may be recommended every 4-8 weeks throughout your treatment. Because the archwire will be replaced, it is normal to feel minor discomfort for a few days – but it is only temporary. If you are concerned, talk to our team about our suggested methods to relieve your discomfort.

5) Your last appointment Your treatment is complete and you are about to see your new perfect smile. You won’t have to wait long –
Removing braces may be easier and faster than you might think. The brackets will come off easily, leaving behind just a trace of the bonding material. Our orthodontist will remove the bonding material and polish the enamel, leaving smooth and shiny teeth where your braces had been. The best part: it only takes about 15 minutes! You may need a retainer to help your teeth “remember” their new positions. Our team will guide you on how to care for your smile after braces. As always, keep brushing your teeth and flossing regularly.

Every individual is different. Orthodontic treatment can be started as young as 7 years old. There is no upper limit in terms of age for Braces. If you have good oral health and firm teeth, you can get braces at any age.
It usually takes 12 – 24 months but will vary according to how severe your case is. Failed and canceled appointments or repeated breakages of the brace will add to the overall treatment time.
It is likely to be sore for about 3 – 5 days each time the brace is adjusted. If necessary, painkillers such as the ones you would normally take for a headache may help (please read the instructions on the packet). If the brace rubs your lips or cheeks, you will be given some wax to help with this.
Please contact our dental clinic and let us know.
Wear a retainer. The retainer will keep your teeth from shifting. After having your braces removed you will be expected to wear your removable retainers every night. However, after 12months you only have to wear them a few times a week. You will have to continue doing this for the rest of your life if you want to maintain straight teeth.
When braces are removed, all patients need a retainer no matter what their age. However, age can play a part in the time you need to use a retainer. If a patient has braces as an adult, they are at greater risk of their teeth moving than if they have braces as a child or adolescent. Adult teeth are more likely to move back to their old position faster than kids. The adult bone and fibrous attachments to teeth are stronger than in adults than kids so there is a greater chance of relapse.
If you do not wear your retainer after having your braces removed the natural process of your teeth drifting will eventually take hold and will slowly but surely go back to their original positions.
